{Liz (left) and I in college in our kid-free, much tanner days. 🙂 }

My friend Liz was the girl who always knew where the party was at in college.  She was always ready for a good time, and she brought that energy with her wherever she went.  So it was no surprise to me when she launched herself full fledged into pursuing a business with It Works.  I’m sure you’ve seen their distributors posting about “that crazy wrap thing”, and until Liz got on board, I chalked it up to just that: crazy.

But when she asked me to give some of their new beauty products a try, I have to admit I was a little curious.  And I’m a sucker for trying just about any latest and greatest item on the market.  So when my facial, chews, exfoliating peel, and greens (a powder drink supplement) came in the mail, I eagerly opened the package and tried a Greens chew in the berry blue flavor.  And YUM.  It reminded me of the sample chews they give you at GNC where you forget you’re not just eating candy.

Next came trying out the Greens on the Go alkalizing drink powder.  I have to admit I think I paired this with too much water and should have used a fruit juice instead.  It wasn’t super tasty, but it wasn’t terrible either.  I still made myself another bottle the next day though because I noticed a significant boost in energy.  And as a pregnant mama with a toddler running around, any way I can get my fruits and veggies AND feel better throughout the day is a win in my book.

I saved the exfoliating peel and facial for a day when I knew I would be working at home in front of my computer for the majority of the day.  Although nothing says classy like opening the door for the mail man with a mask on your face.  Below is the not-so-pretty before shot.  I’m not wearing any foundation, just a little eye makeup.  You can see pregnancy has done a number on my T Zone, with fantastic redness and blotchiness popping up whether I like it or not.

Below is after applying the exfoliating peel.  It was a little bit grainier than I was expecting, but didn’t feel harsh to apply to my skin.  The bottle isn’t huge, but I discovered just a few drops of the peel covered my entire face.  I then noticed the tiny green exfoliating beads which always makes me feel like it’s working, you know?  The peel was refreshing, only took 10 minutes, and was easy to rinse off.  It’s recommended for use twice a week, and I don’t think it would be too harsh for that.  My skin didn’t feel dried out or stripped afterwards, which I’ve seen to be the case with other peels.

Here’s the picture you were waiting for.  The facial is actually a deep hydration mask with the ingredients soaked right in.  All you have to do is press it to your face and let it sit for 45-60 minutes.  And pray the neighbors don’t stop by unexpectedly.  As you can see, the mask was PLENTY big for my face, so if I tried it again I would almost consider trimming it down so it would fit better.  But if you have a large face, it might be just right for you.  And hour flew by and when I removed the mask, there was just enough product left over to finish massaging in to my face for a lasting effect.  I could tell my skin was fully moisturized and renewed.

After!  My skin stayed glowing for at least another day after using the peel and facial together.  The redness under my nose is visibly reduced, and it’s like any other beauty product where consistent use will yield the best results.  For one application though and just a little over an hour of my time, I was impressed.  While the wraps are what It Works is best known for, I have a feeling their new beauty line is going to be a solid addition to their line that will keep women coming back for more.  And it’s a huge bonus to me that all their products are completely all natural and non-GMO.  It gives a mama peace of mind to know she’s not putting something harmful into her body!

So after seeing my results, are you ready to try It Works products for yourself?  Liz is giving away one of each item I tried, PLUS a body wrap which I can’t try for at least a few more months.  Shrinking my belly at this point would probably not be appreciated by the little one growing in there.  But I want to hear how you like it if you win!  If you want to find out more information about Liz’ shop and story, you can click here to visit her site.  And enter the giveaway below right now!
