Winter maternity outfits

32 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss? We’re still in Indiana, so no measurement again this week! Don’t worry, I’m sure I’m going to pay for it next week. 🙂

Maternity clothes? You better believe it.  Even the loose sweaters I bought a few weeks ago (thinking they would be great for postpartum at the very least) have started to need a little adjusting when the belly starts peeking out down below.

Stretch marks? Ohhh, a few here and there.  Mostly on the booty but the belly is starting to show signs of wear as well.  Glorious battle wounds, right?

Sleep? I’ve just about adjusted to sleeping at my parent’s house, just in time to head back home. Figures. 🙂

Best moment this week: New Year’s Eve was a lot of fun with dice games, good food, and Cora took a late nap so she was able to stay awake until midnight.  I hadn’t really thought about it beforehand, but the holidays with Cora as an only child for the last time are going to be pretty special memories.

Movement? So much so that at times it makes me wonder if there’s more than one of her in there.

Food cravings? Holiday food has left little room for cravings, once again!

Gender?  GIRL! :)

Labor Signs? Nope, although I went on a brisk walk with my mom yesterday and could remember with Cora constantly worrying that vigorous exercise would send me into early labor.  This time around, I’m much more willing to risk it. 😉

Belly Button in or out? Officially out.  I don’t think it was this far out with Cora.  Does that mean I’m bigger, or my body’s just been stretched this far before?

Wedding rings on or off? On, hopefully we can fly home tomorrow with no swelling again!

What I miss? It would have been nice to have a glass of champagne to ring in the New Year, but I am definitely not one of those women that cannot wait to drink again after delivery.

What I am looking forward to? Cora’s birthday is right around the corner, and I can’t wait to throw her first bash in the United States since we’ve been in Mexico the last two years.  I’m trying to make it as memorable for her as possible, since there’s no telling how much motivation I’ll have next year with two kiddos in tow.

Weekly Wisdom? I was so glad to see such a positive response to my New Year’s Eve post on staying in and enjoying your new role as a mom.  If you didn’t get a chance to check it out, you can find it here.

Milestones? My What To Expect app tells me Braxton Hicks can start any time now, so we’ll see if that rears its ugly head.  I have noticed random tightening in the belly area, so perhaps that’s it.  As long as it doesn’t involve legitimate pain it’s just more of an annoyance than anything.
XO,
A
