Few things get me more excited than seeing designers come out with something totally innovative, something no one has seen before. In recent years I think jewelry, specifically earrings, have come a long way from the standard hoops or studs. Ear crawlers are perhaps my favorite trend thus far, and I picked up a new pair at the H&M grand opening the other day at North Star. It added just the right amount of bling to my look for the Neiman Marcus Love to Give event at La Cantera.
The ear crawler is surprisingly comfortable, and I like that it attaches not only in my piercing, but also with a clasp at the top of my ear. That way it’s not bouncing around the whole night. Cora was absolutely fascinated by it before I left the house, and I had plenty of people asking me where I found it at the event. It’s definitely a statement piece, so I left the rest of my jewelry simple and sophisticated. My other ear was also completely free of jewelry, and hidden by my hair anyways. I don’t think I would be able to rock two crawlers at one time, but never say never!
It had also just turned a corner to start feeling like fall that day, so I didn’t hesitate to bust out my sweaters and thick opaque tights. These Zara leggings make it easy to throw on a mini skirt that would otherwise be inappropriate and turn it into a chic take on evening wear. I would also totally wear this with boots and a bold lip for a little more flexibility.
