I just needed to let you know that we are alive and well and I am so sorry we haven’t blogged in a while! A is still in full mommy mode. I am in full life mode– I’ve been working out like a fiend, working a bunch, and enjoying my annual springtime sinus infection. Alas, the fashion world has not stopped for us. We’ve got some catching up to do.
Let’s start now. Lets talk about Neon. Everyone else is, so why can’t we. You might be like me, initially freaked out at the prospect of what neon means for our wardrobes. See, for those of us who lived through the early 2000’s, when a revival of neon hit Middle-America’s malls, it was mixed with zebra prints and cheap mesh, a la’ Madonna in Borderline. When that’s your first introduction to neon, the image of acidity mixed with ugly metallics on shirts at Charlotte Russe is at times all-consuming. Imagine my intrigue when I see these electric colors mixed with creamy neutrals and expensive navy instead of cheap black jersey. How fresh it looks, indeed! So now, I’m on board.
