I’m not usually one for Instagram shopping, but when I saw fellow blogger The Darling Detail wearing this off-the-shoulder top, I couldn’t resist. Ruffles and bright white linen have pretty much been all over the place this summer, and it’s definitely a cool way to beat the heat. Add that to the fact that I once heard Donna Karan say she loves showing off shoulders in her designs because “it’s the only place you never gain weight”, and I’m convinced this is my new favorite piece.
I wanted to add a little spice to this outfit, so I busted out my Rebecca Minkoff crossbody. I don’t often wear crossbody bags because I’m notorious for stuffing a million things in a tote for the little ones, but this was for a Fashion Week San Antonio meeting and thus, sans kiddos. The fringe detail on the bag wins me over every time, and the print goes with pretty much everything.
Another style secret of mine? I love stealing Orlando’s sunglasses and wearing them myself. These Ray-Bans are one of my favorites of his, and they kept this whole look from being overly feminine. I’m sure you’re smacking your forehead right now saying, “Of course they did, they’re men’s sunglasses.” But you know what I mean. 😉
These booties were my picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale! I’ve been busting them out with everything already even though it’s not technically fall weather yet. Because, let’s be honest, if I wait for that in South Texas I’m going to be waiting a LONG time. They’re super comfy and the fringe detail again gives the whole look a little bohemian flair.
