As if it’s not enough torture to have to leave your puppy at home while you’re at work all day, there’s also the additional dread of coming home to see what trouble they may have gotten themselves into while you were out.  Really it’s only fair: for every hour you leave them alone, they destroy a piece of your property.  When it’s just getting into the trash can or shredding a piece of paper, I can deal, but when I came home to find my favorite work shoes destroyed one day…well, that’s a different story.  Pre-puppy attack, my babies looked like this:

They were the perfect color, the perfect size heel, and functioned perfectly for work or play.  Now, the heel is riddled with teeth marks, and the soles are even torn off a bit.  How does a 12-pound Bichon Frise even do that??  Here’s a cute picture of the culprit, by the way…don’t let that air of innocence fool you.

Obviously with the heel to both shoes out of commission, a replacement pair is in order.  One Google search, a long, long look at a pair of tempting Jimmy Choos, and I arrived at these suckers:

Hello, there.  I might actually like this style better than my previous shoe.  They’re from the UK eBay site, but the seller says they ship internationally.  It sticks with the pewter color, but it is distinctly in the work category.   Although, I could certainly see a sundress or two complimenting the color nicely.  So what do you think? Have I upgraded, or should I ask for my money back on the pup instead?  Please say the first option, she’s still my baby, devil dog that she is.

XO,

A
