Ever since Proenza Schouler came out with their PS1 satchel, it’s been at the top of my list for splurge bags. Since the escalation of the PS1 to cult-bag status, there has been a resurgence in the classic satchel at many other price points. This is my biggest want right now– a sturdy brown satchel that will transition seamlessly from Spring to Summer, and back into Fall. It’s practical for work, travel, and looking effortlessly cool while browsing the farmer’s market to attending business meetings. The best part is that if you can afford a sturdy leather one, it looks better the more beat up it gets, so you KNOW you’ll get your money’s worth. I see myself throwing this bag on over a slouchy, over-sized long sleeved tee with rolled-up denim shorts and brown huaraches for an easy weekend look, and over an amber cardigan, cropped skinny khakis and tan buckle shoes for work.
