This heat is doing a number on my skin, y’all.

Not to be too graphic, but I find myself profusely sweating so much that I haven’t had a breakout in months! However, my skin is dry and itchy –constantly– and my usual beloved skincare products seem to sweat off before they’ve even seeped in. I need something light but heavy duty, and thanks to a great recommendation from my Ulta Skincare friend, I think I’ve figured out how to tweak my regimen. Plus, it’s Mario Badescu– you KNOW I’m all for it.

I was recommended two products- First, the facial spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. It adds a hint of moisture and refreshment to your hair and skin throughout the day. Also, it sets your make up! Not bad, right.

Secondly, I was recommended the Herbal Hydrating Serum, which is packed full of Ginseng, Gingko and Ceramides to act as a second moisturizer over a regular one, or by itself. It’s super light and not greasy or thick like a full moisturizer. Perfect for this heat!

One thing I’ve really learned in the last year is that you cant have the same go-to routine when the weather is so extreme in the seasons in Texas. It’s constantly dry, but vacillates between brutally cold to miserably hot. I’ve got a Mario Night Cream for Winter, a Buttermilk Moisturizer for Spring and Fall and for night time during the summer, and will now be using the Facial Spray and Moisturizing Serum for daytime summer. Wish me luck!

XO,
