You know that odd phenomenon when you first notice something, and then all of a sudden it’s everywhere?  I must admit, I thought dry shampoo was for my grandma, but it turns out, it’s EVERYWHERE, and it’s apparently awesome.  I feel like washing my hair every day has suddenly become highly unfashionable.  And to be honest, it probably does dry out my hair, and it’s probably not necessary.  Therefore, I’ve been checking out the best options for cleaning my hair sans water.  Here are my top picks, and one of them will be finding their way into my beauty routine soon.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo

This brand got high reviews on both Sephora’s website, as well as Fashionista.com, so I trust that it’s going to work well.  According to the reviews, it’s the best at making your hair soft and supple again.  Yeah, I could use that.  I also love that it’s all-natural, hypoallergenic, yadda yadda yadda, so hopefully my scalp won’t freak out at this new product.

$7.50 – 1.06 ounce bottle

$18 – 3.2 ounce bottle

Pssssst Instant Dry Shampoo for Wavy, Curly Hair

Photo: ulta.com

This product got solid reviews on Ulta’s website, and the price is a lot more budget-friendly.  I think this product  works perfectly to just try out dry shampoo, and leaves you guilt-free if you never use it again.  My hair can be relatively wavy, so I’ll be interested to see how my hair reacts to this formula.  If it puffs up into a crazy nest, I’ll have to call it quits, but if it manages to tame my locks into a beachy wave, I will be sold.

$6.99 – 5.3 ounce bottle

Do you guys use dry shampoo?  Which brands are your faves?
