Holidaze, am I right? We wait all year for this season and then bam! 40,000 Christmas parties, Breakfasts with Santa, and chances to hang out with elves hit you all at once. Ok, maybe not THAT many chances to hang out with elves, they are elusive. But it’s a crazy time, right?! The most recent issue of San Antonio Woman hit store shelves just a few weeks ago, and I’m just now getting around to an overview for you all. But it’s our 15th Anniversary issue, so this one’s special!

We started off the Fashion section with an interview with former San Antonio Woman Editor Beverly Purcell-Guerra, a San Antonio legend in the fashion world. She launched her career with Vogue. VOGUE, y’all. Who starts at Vogue?! But her life eventually brought her to San Antonio and I’m so glad it did! She was a pleasure to talk with and her interview is truly inspirational. Check it out by clicking here.

As a side bar for her interview, we asked Beverly for her holiday dressing tips. Rather than give us the standard sparkles and fur recommendations, she instead opted to share her “Wardrobe of Fragrance” concept, a brilliant idea to change up your style by changing your scent. Her favorite brands are listed within the issue, and I have to say she has excellent taste in eau de toilette.

For Beauty, we chatted with industry professionals across the city for their best tips in caring for the delicate neck area. It’s any area many of us worry about, moreso as we age, but the tips you’ll find are easy to apply and not necessarily costly! Thank you to April Monterrosa of Shine Beautifully, Dr. Linda Banta of Stone Oak Dermatology, and Dr. Regina Fearmonti of Alon Aesthetics for lending your expertise to the article!

So if you have a spare moment in the season’s madness, pick up a copy of San Antonio Woman at your local HEB or Central Market! And a very Merry Christmas to all of you!

XO,

A
