While fashion week after fashion week has been flying by, Spring Break season has arrived in the real world.  While I would love to say swimsuits have a magical “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” effect on me, the truth is I have to search high and low for the perfect bikini.  The good news is the Internet has become a valuable resource in my quest, and I’m sharing my favorite websites and picks for the season!  If you’re making the trek to South Padre Island, or just crossing your apartment complex to the pool, choose from any of these options to stand out in the crowd.

1.  Swimwearboutique.com

I just recently discovered this site, and for my Type A personality, it is heaven on earth.  You can search by type of suit, color, shape, brand, price range, almost any criteria you can think of.  There are mostly higher-end labels, but every girl deserves at least one high-quality suit.  As someone who has experienced the disastrous results of a white swimsuit with too little lining, I would certainly splurge on at least that color!  Here’s my faves from their site

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one. As previously mentioned, I have a thing for white,  and this Sonia Vera two-piece feeds my fetish quite nicely.  If you’ve got it going on up top, I love how the little charm dangles to highlight your assets.  In general, I think swimsuits should make you feel sexy and this one pulls that off perfectly.  Not too mention, it’s currently on sale!  $117.00

I must admit, I’m normally not a huge fan of orange. I mean, on any site where they customize your search to fit your style, I ALWAYS say I don’t want to see any clothes in orange, but for some reason I love this one-piece suit from Beach Bunny.  And while I think every woman should rock a bikini if they want to, if you’re going to go one-piece, have fun with it!  I love that the belt cinches your waist, and who cares about tan lines when your suit is this gorgeous. $175.00

Did I mention they offer cover ups as well??  While this Aqua di Lara caftan is a bit of an ouch at $350, I love the bright pretty colors, and the back dips into a low V cut to show just enough skin.  If you’re not into the super tropical shades, it also comes in a slate gray version that is tres chic.  Picture strolling to the beach in this, rocking giant sunglasses and a boho tote.  Doesn’t your heart just smile?

2.  Target.com

If you’re not willing to spend all of your tuition for next semester on swimsuits, Target has always been the go-to for Spring Break gear.  They consistently deliver trendy, quality swim suits that you won’t feel guilty about buying later.  And if you’re ridiculously frugal, they have quite a few beach-worthy items on sale right now!

Ok, so this adorable polka dot top might be from the Juniors department, but I could seriously probably still wear a training bra if I wanted to.  Therefore, I’m going to take advantage of my prepubescent state and enjoy the fabulousness.  Paired with a basic black bottom I already own, this suit will be all grown up, and BONUS: the straps are removable!  Double bonus:  it’s on sale for $14.00.  And so I say, to all those stupid boys in middle school, TAKE THAT!

The color first attracted me to this suit, but it wasn’t until after I looked closer that I made up my mind.  The criss-cross bands across the center accentuate the waist and the side cut outs aren’t too big or too small.  In addition, this suit has a 5-star rating on target.com, which is saying a lot since most reviewers complain about EVERYTHING.  So if you don’t believe me, trust the chicks that have been there and bought that.  Oh, and it’s on sale as well for $20.98.

No Spring Break is complete without an appearance on MTV, and a great beach bag.  Ok, maybe just the beach bag.  This patterned tote from Target is not massive, but it will fit all the necessities and then still fit into your wardrobe once the beach is long gone.  I love that the pattern is bold enough to stand out, but the colors will keep it from competing with your mind-blowing swimsuit you just picked out above.  $39.99

Let us know where you’re headed for Spring Break, and if you’re going to be bringing any of our suggestions with you!
