It’s been six years now since I left my Yankee hometown in Indiana and fully converted to the Southern lifestyle. Whether we’re in Texas or Mexico, I feel like “Southern hospitality” and a generally relaxed pace of life follows us wherever we go. There are many stereotypes surrounding the South, and in particular our women. Everyone thinks they know the twang in our speech and how sweet we like our tea. But we’re also a lot of things the rest of the country doesn’t give us credit for. We’re independent, we’re ambitious, we’re a tough as we are sweet. Don’t you agree?
In honor of the perfection that is the Southern girl, I’ve teamed up with Southern Soul perfume and three other Texas bloggers to bring you a special contest!
