So much has been going on over here at Haute in Texas, the most recent issue of San Antonio Woman was released and I realized I hadn’t even shown you the prior issue yet! These were two of my favorites, so we’re going to go through both of them today! It’s fashion, beauty, and everything in between for the Alamo City’s ladies.
First up, for March/April’s issue, we covered the Pantone color of the year: ultraviolet. This electric shade of purple has translated quickly to women’s wardrobes, and I had a blast pulling from local and national retailers for this collage. Can we talk about those booties for a minute? And those Treasure Jewels earrings – y’all know how addicted I am to them! For Beauty, we interviewed the lovely ladies at Hiatus Spa to discover the 4 questions you should ask before your first facial. I know it’s an intimidating service for some women, so we tried to think through the most frequently asked questions to ease your fears.
Next, for the most recent May/June issue, we switched things up a bit for Fashion and did a full photo shoot with some of my best local blogger friends. Utilizing a wardrobe from three of my favorite boutiques in town, we showed women how to lose ten pounds just by how you dress. It really is easy to make simple changes in your wardrobe and slim down – I promise! For Beauty I talked to two of the makeup artists I trust most in SA, Alicia Guevara and Kate Crisler Ritter to figure out how to keep your makeup ON in the Texas heat. We all felt the temperatures flip from winter straight to summer a couple weeks ago, and Lord knows it will be months before we get a break. I loved their tips for surviving, and making sure your makeup does as well!
