Two outfit posts in one week?! Truth be told, it’s been an insane week traveling back to San Antonio for a quick trip, so I’m glad I had this little style shoot with the wonderful Christina in my back pocket to share with you all.  For this particular look we headed to Plaza Isla in Cancun and strolled along the shops and boutiques.  If you ever get the chance to go, I highly recommend eating at the restaurant above the Aquarium, where you can dine above dolphins casually swimming below.

As I mentioned in our Spring trends report, off-the-shoulder tops are here to stay, and I was so excited I found the last one of this particular style at Zara the other day.  The ruffle detail and simple ribbon embellishment is right up my alley, not to mention the black and white color combo.

The jeans were a find at the North Star Mall H&M Grand opening, and they are actually shockingly long.  I never, ever have that problem with regular length jeans, so it’s a pleasant surprise.  The juxtaposition of the distressed jeans and feminine top is fun, don’t you think?

My fedora was a gift from my mom, but I’m pretty sure she got it from Target. 🙂 Are fedoras still a thing? To be perfectly honest, I think hats are more about what looks good for your face type, and less about what’s trendy.  The wide-rimmed cowboy hat style that some girls can rock looks utterly ridiculous on me.  So, fedora it is. And I feel as thought I’ve worn these Joie heels to death, but they just keep finding their way into outfit after outfit.  The white is just so versatile and perfect for the Cancun climate.

I love finding little nooks and crannies like this while traveling.  Just something slightly out of the ordinary, tucked away where most passerbys hardly even notice.  It’s a beautiful reminder to stop and smell the roses, or at least it is for me.  What’s your favorite part about traveling? Let me know in the comments!

A
