Givenchy is consistently one designer that I always look to for an elements of both design and wearability.  Riccardo Tisci, who although  a brilliant designer, hasn’t always veered towards the house’s Parisian-chic roots, used inspiration from the ocean (think undulating fabric “waves”, oversized shark tooth necklaces, eel and fish skins, colors remnicent of Botecelli’s Birth of Venus- but on a different wavelength from Versace’s similar tone) to create impeccably designed layered outfits. It was stunning!
