Rodarte is and has been a design stand-out at New York Fashion Week for the last several years. The Mulleavy sisters, who design for the label, have a knack for creating really really special pieces that are at all once whimsical and rock and roll. It’s fantasy clothing that can be worn in reality. They are constantly pushing themselves forward, and they really create things that no one else has created, even within the realm of emerging trends like florals and bright colors. This show, in particular, was fully inspired by the works of Van Gogh, from his Starry Night to his Sunflowers, surrealism never looked so chic!
