As you may have noticed, the postings around here at Haute in Texas have taken a turn for the motherly and personal, vs. the anonymous and informative.  Kelly and I have evolved over the past two years, as I’m sure you have, and it’s become clear to us that a rebrand is necessary.  If you were only sticking around for the “This Week’s Wants” posts, we just want you to know you might be waiting awhile.  The truth is, we’re growing up, and Haute in Texas has to grow with us.

I still enjoy a great fashion show as much as the next girl, but my days are now spent looking after a little one, not clothes racks.  And I want to be able to talk more openly about my life here in Mexico, not just our off-season escapades in the States.  Kelly still has Texas in her heart, but she’s moved to Atlanta and is enjoying a whole new adventure there.  And she’s been sweating up a storm with a new fitness regime I know she’d love to share with you all.  The point is, we want to be able to dish about these things with you, and we don’t want you to be disheartened when our old style fades away.

From here on out, we’re going to be writing about our day-to-day lives: our struggles, our funny moments, our style disasters and our triumphs.  We’re going to talk about parenting, being a wife, and learning to be a woman who’s comfortable in her own skin.  It’s going to get more personal, but we hope you’ll find that’s a good thing.  The best part is, no matter what, it will always be Haute in Texas!

Love,

Aquila
