June is an insanely busy time for our family.  We’ve got my birthday, Father’s Day, and our wedding anniversary all jam-packed into a few short weeks, and it’s easy to feel  undeservedly blessed for all  the wonderful people in my life.  I was contemplating the craziness that is my life last Friday and decided I am at a place in my life where it is almost syrupy sweet.  To the point where I feel like Charlotte in Sex and the City when she is scared to run because “nobody gets everything they want”. I won’t list all the gag-inducing things for you know, but just know that I thank God every day for guiding me to this point in my life.  It is truly so far from where I would have ended up on my own, I can only assume there is someone looking out for me upstairs.

Another area of my life where I’m crazy lucky? This blog.  Seriously you all, I can’t thank you enough for supporting the things I love, be it an emotional rant on my life or a product I can’t get enough of.  I also get to attend these fabulous events and bring them to your computer screens, which seems unfair in that I would love to take all of you with me, every time!

I recently toured the brand-spanking-new candy store in La Cantera, called Lolli and Pops. As someone who just lost a good amount of weight, I can tell you this place was a GOLD MINE for all of my cravings.  I seriously never crave fried food any more, but sweets? I am at my weakest. The lovely ladies at Handmade Mood took us through a tour of the shop, followed up by an adorable breakfast and crafting session.

Lolli and Pops La Cantera San Antonio

Do you ever wonder why you never see any crafty DIY tutorials on this blog? It’s because I’m AWFUL at it.  I can barely operate a hot glue gun.  But I was slowly but surely guided through the process and ended up with this pink-errific crown to take home to my little princess.  She hasn’t taken it off since. Because a pink candy crown is like crack to a 2-year-old.

All the ladies outside the store with one of Lolli and Pop’s purveyors of sweetness.  I can’t say enough about the blogging community in San Antonio.  They are kind, caring, and the best online (and occasionally in real life) friends a girl could ask for. And in case you didn’t know, I’m the giant on the far left!

Is your mouth watering yet?  Lolli and Pops has just about every candy, soda pop, chocolate bar, and gummy bear under the sun.  Including bacon soda. No joke. They have 12 different varieties of fudge, a huge selection of Texas candy, and a 26-pound gummy bear.  So there’s that in case you weren’t convinced already.

Lolli and Pops also does a great job of giving back to it’s customers with great deals.  There’s a tote that earns you 10% off if you bring it back to shop with them.  And what they call “fill-ables” containers that can be refilled with your favorite bulk goodies for a discount as well.  Sort of like keeping fresh flowers in your home, now you can have a pot of fresh gummy bears at hand at all times. I have to tell you I think this is going to be my place to go for gifts for the foreseeable future.

Have you had enough sugar yet? Me neither. Thanks for reading, connecting with me, and indulging in my sweet tooth for a moment.   I love y’all!

XO,

A
