AUSTIN! That’s usually the reaction you get when saying “let’s go to Austin.” The city of Austin is just one of those great cities where you find great fashion, 6th street, and great food all over the place. It’s a unique city in itself, I love the fact that it’s about 1 hr. away from San Antonio. I could go on and on about the many wonders of the city, but since this is a fashion blog, let’s talk fashion!

Austin is home to a wide range of boutiques and art shops since it is a huge college city, there is always a new trend popping up by fabulous young students. Since were on the topic of boutiques and great fashion, I had the opportunity to talk to Sarah Reeves the owner of Plain Ivey Jane.
Plain Ivey Jane Boutique– it’s unique because it is an overstock boutique! That means you the customer are getting the lowest price of the name brand goodies. They offer brands such as: Burberry, Vera Wang, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Chloe. Seeing as Sarah was born and raised In Atlanta, why choose Austin? “ It’s pretty much a hot spot for everything, it’s also a city where a lot of creative people live that foster small business” says Sarah. This is very much true, there is a niche for almost everybody in this city and you can find a small business at every corner.
So wondering how she gets you guys these wonderful deals? well it’s a little different from a usual buy and sell. Sarah gets her clothing from a wide range of brands that have bought to many and have nothing to do with the clothes, since these are higher brand names their names will not be hurt in any way and you get the lowest price! This is very much different from a Ross or Marshalls because your shopping for a higher end brand, the feeling you get is feeling chic while saving money. Who doesn’t like that? She cares for her customers, not everyone can say that they do. “I believe that a customer isn’t just a shopper once but for the rest of their lives so if you make an investment in that person’s shopping experience they’ll be back” She pays personal attention to her customers and buys things every two weeks for her regulars. She gets the hottest trends from people all over the city, so if you live in Austin and are reading this. we’ll make sure to look your best, you might the inspiration for Sarah.
