Dear Issa,

Tomorrow you will be seven months old.  This past month has been a HUGE one for you.  You started crawling like a mad woman! I honestly cannot put you down and expect you to stay in the same spot for more than two seconds.  Then the other day you pulled yourself up onto the couch, the tub, and started thinking about cruising as well.  I can’t even handle it, it feels like you’re going to just up and start walking tomorrow.

You also popped out your first tooth, and your second is JUST about to make an appearance as well.   I haven’t been able to get a pic of them yet, because you honestly won’t sit still long enough, but they’re there and they’re very sharp.  You’ve been waking pretty frequently through the night just because they’ve been bothering you, but we’re both toughing it out.

You’ve also had your first tastes of food this past month.  You love bananas, zucchini, potatoes, strawberries, really everything you’ve tried.  The only thing you were are a little disgusted by was avocado, but we’ll give it a try again soon.  It hasn’t come as a big surprise that you like food, in fact now that you get to sit at the table with us in your high chair you pretty much want to dominate every body else’s meal, too.

You got to go to your first pumpkin patch this past month, and I can’t wait for your first Halloween.  We haven’t decided what you’ll be yet, but hopefully we’ll figure it out soon! I can’t decide if I want you to coordinate with your big sister or not.  Of course, that would require her picking what she wants to be as well.  Such tough decisions to make!  You also spent some time on the lake and on a boat, and loved every minute.  You’re such an easygoing baby, it’s not even intimidating to travel or have you out of your routine.

This is pretty much my view of you these days.  Crawling away from me as fast as you can.  I love, though, that you’re still in the stage where a scary noise will have you startled and finding the shortest path back to me.  You make me so happy, little one, and I absolutely adore your little face!

XO,

Mama
