Leon Springs Community News

I don’t know what it means that an article in our local paper highlighting hard-working moms was next to an ad for a funeral home, but I do know that I was thrilled to be one of those moms! 😉 I might be working myself to death with a toddler and infant in tow, but I wouldn’t change this life for anything.  Thank you to all of you who read this blog, or trust me with your PR services.  I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve told people what I do and they remark that it seems I have the best of both worlds.  I get to work, AND I get to be with my babies.  This isn’t a humble brag, this is a shout out to the man upstairs for blessing me beyond belief.  And to my family and friends who are part of the village it takes to run things around here, much less raise my daughters into the fantastic little people they are becoming.  No chance I could get out of bed in the morning, much less function in society if I didn’t have a huge support system.

If you want to read the Mother’s Day article, I believe they should have a link to it here soon.  It just came out on Friday, so it’s not available yet but hopefully it will be!  The two women mentioned besides myself are amazing and worth supporting if and when you can.  Tracy Marlowe is with Creative Noggin, and Kam Smeby is with An Empty Vase.  I’m honored to be in the company of women who are juggling it all and doing it with grace.  This is why I’m a feminist, y’all, because women truly are the most wonderful creatures on the planet.  We can grow a human inside our bodies, give birth to that human, feed that human, and raise it into adulthood, all while chasing our own dreams and pursuing our own passions.  Girl power, for sure.

XO,

A

P.S. Thanks to Miranda Koerner of the Boerne Star for the article.  She also blogs here.  AND thanks to the fabulous April Deleon of Pure Happiness Photography for the use of her photo for the piece!
