Whether you are celebrating with a menorah, a Christmas tree, or it’s just you and your AMEX, a few things still thread us all together this time of the year– an attack on our cardiovascular systems through various addictive sweets, our foul language choices directed at an overzealous change of seasons, and holiday parties! While I do love an inspired red nail for the Christmas season, why limit ourselves to one color when there are SO many great options for endless sparkle and statement making hues. Here are my top nail color picks for this season, some new, some not so new, all really fun-
1. Across The Universe by Deborah Lippman
A beautiful Hanukkah blue, maybe? Okay not necessarily, but I’m trying here. Its a gorgeous translucent shade of midnight with cool shades of glitter. This is one of those colors that’s really stunning on the nail. Perfect to compliment your new silver mini dress.
2. Zoya in Holly
Holly is a true emerald green, in an opaque and shimmery finish. How cute would this be paired with a cute fair isle sweater, jeans and heels for Christmas Day? However I’ll say since it is so vivid, be sure to give your nails some great care before putting this on so you look more holiday-chic than swampy.
3. Chanel’s Peridot
This is one of the hottest colors of the year, and for good reason, its versatility and originality are what make this color so appealing. In person, this color is a gold/green metallic that is far more subtle than it sounds. It’s downright elegant and would compliment your gold sequin top that your husband is going to get you for New Years. Cough Cough.
