23 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss? 167. Weighed myself in the afternoon again. For the love of Pete, why do I keep doing that to myself?

Maternity clothes? Yup, and I’m filling out the maternity jeans more and more each week.  PLUS, I have a ton of cute maternity dresses planned for Fashion Week that I can’t wait for you all to see!

Stretch marks? I spotted one this week and had a minor breakdown. Same spot as with Cora: the booty. Boo.

Sleep? Once I was feeling better health-wise, I’ve actually been sleeping really well.  Although I’ve started having to put the pillow in between my legs when I’m laying on my side.  I don’t know why that feels so great when you’re pregnant, but it does.

Best moment this week: Getting to wear my Halloween costume!

Movement? Plenty.  I feel like baby girl is way more active than Cora was, but maybe it’s just because I’m more aware of it.

Food cravings? Nothing in particular, just know what I want, when I want it.

Gender?  GIRL! :)

Labor Signs? Nada.

Belly Button in or out? Innie.  Just stretched.

Wedding rings on or off? On. I bought some rings on sale for ASOS the other day and two won’t fit over my knuckles.  I’m either going to have to pretend they’re midi rings or pray that my hands will magically shrink post-delivery.

What I miss? The belly is no longer in that cute stage of soft, pudginess.  It’s getting to that hard, immovable object phase.  Today at the grocery store I barely squeezed between the cart and the checkout lane.  Not fun.

What I am looking forward to? My mom is coming in town today and staying with us for the week during Fashion Week! Plus, Fashion Week of course.  And the Blogalicious conference is going to be next weekend in San Antonio as well!  Must remember to hydrate during all of this craziness.

Weekly Wisdom? Some sort of flu bug knocked me out of commission for the better part of this week, and it was so hard to realize my body just takes longer to get a pep back in its step.  Cora and I had to settle with staying home, Netflix binges, and eating whatever I could tolerate.  Not fun, but it was a good lesson in listening to your body and slowing down when it’s asking you to.

Milestones? I think we have a name! Sorry, we’re not sharing though. 🙂
