This past week the San Antonio Fashion Awards took place for the third consecutive year, and I had a thrilling time on the red carpet per usual. To me events of this caliber are a fabulous excuse to get dressed to the nines, because it simply doesn’t happen every day! No matter what, fashion is primarily about having FUN; pay absolutely zero attention to anyone who says otherwise.

This year I knew exactly where I would be headed to pick out my dress: Gautier! My favorite locally owned shop is run by Grace Garay, and I am not exaggerating when I say she has the BEST selection in town. I’ve gone to her every year for the Fashion Awards with just weeks to spare, and she never lets me down. There was the black ball gown the first year, and an intricately  embellished metallic beauty last year. Click on the links above for a quick flashback!

I decided I wanted to go in a completely different direction for the third annual ceremony, and finally landed on this baby blue design. The gorgeous flower appliques really must be seen in person to admire their delicacy, and I loved that it was far more feminine than any of my previous choices. I felt like the color would pop amongst the usual sea of red, black, and white on the red carpet, and it didn’t hurt that I felt like a princess when I tried it on!

Gautier Dresses

The day of the Fashion Awards it was an absolute dream to flutter about amongst the most stylish San Antonians in such a gorgeous dress. Gautier has and always will be my go-to for occasion dresses, be it a formal wedding, gala, or client event. They are located at The Shops at La Cantera just a few doors down from Zara. Grace has put together a truly indescribable amount of variety, sizes, and styles, so please go check them out for yourself. And tell them Haute in Texas sent you!
