If you follow me via Snapchat or we’ve chatted in person over the last few months, you may know something has been brewing behind the scenes that I’m very excited about.  It’s been a long, arduous process, but all the ducks are now in their respective rows so I can finally share some thrilling news with you! Are you ready?

I have agreed to serve as Co-Regional Director for Fashion Group International’s San Antonio chapter this year alongside the amazing Suzan Lambillotte!  We have an absolutely STELLAR board lined up this year, including Xitlalt Herrera-Salazar of Neiman Marcus, Tori Johnson of The sTORIbook, and many more ladies I can’t wait to introduce you all to! I actually attended a few FGI events when I first moved to San Antonio years ago, and the group has since gone through many changes.  Suzan has been seeking a new vision for the group for quite some time, and I’m happy to be on board to help in any way I can.

As you all know, one of my passions is supporting local women and designers who are seeking to inspire the community here in our city with their work.  Living in a metropolis buzzing with culture, creativity, and art is so important to me, and it’s exactly those values that FGI embodies.  If you want to learn more about the organization as a whole, you can check out the website here. Or find the San Antonio chapter on Facebook or Twitter to follow along!

Beyond just learning more about the group and what we do all over the world for fashion, I would also encourage those of you who are involved in the San Antonio style scene to attend our Spring Membership Mixer! We’re throwing a stunning party at the gorgeous La Cantera Hill Country Resort, and our panel discussion is featuring some of the most distinguished fashion journalists in the region.  Space is going to be limited, so please purchase your tickets via Eventbrite by clicking here.  You can also follow along with the details as the event gets closer by checking out the Facebook event.  I can’t wait to see you there!

So now with all the business aside, how exciting is this?! I’m so honored to be part of an organization that has nurtured and supported legends of the fashion industry since day one.  It doesn’t matter if FGI is providing scholarships for design students or bringing together brilliant business minds for an educational experience, I am so ready to help bring this energy to San Antonio as well.  And I hope you’ll come along for the ride!

XO,

A
