Dare I say it, my friends? It appears there has been a shift in the air here in South Texas that can only mean one thing: fall is on its way. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still going to be in the near-triple-digit temperatures for a while, but the early mornings are ever so slightly more bearable, and the sun is sinking on the horizon just a fraction earlier. With cooler weather comes new trends, which we’ve already discussed on the fashion front here, but today we’re giving your beauty routine a seasonal refresher as well.
Step One: Update your eyeliner.
Summer is the time for easy, breezy mascara that won’t run all over your face. For fall, give a bold winged eyeliner a try, and pair it with a super dark lip in rich merlot shades. There’s lots of fun trends out there with double winged eyeliner, colored hues, and thick flashes of midnight black that give your eyes some serious dimension. Step Two: Update your foundation.
Stick your tinted moisturizer in storage and opt for a true base foundation that will withstand the heavier colors and varying temperatures of fall. Make sure to go with a lighter shade since your sun-kissed glow of summer is about to fade into the sunset. Step Three: Update your fragrance.
