1. Jason Wu
With Wu, it was all about the details. The embellishments were perfect, the shoes were luxe, and the lace was to die for. I’m a sucker for elegance, and Wu absolutely woo-ed me (sorry, couldn’t resist) with every single piece in the collection. I won’t say anymore, because I want you to experience it for yourself.

2. Marchesa
No, I will not have any occasion to wear anything rolled out by Marchesa this fall. But it was opulent, and fanciful. It reminded me of when my friends and I would sneak into Macy’s to try on prom dresses, just for the fun of it. Who doesn’t like to be totally done up, and utterly ridiculously luxurious? So until I get that invite to the Oscars (I should really check my tracking number on that…), lusting after their looks here will have to suffice.

3. Alice + Olivia
Yes, I confess, I only know about Alice + Olivia because they are constantly promoted by the Kardashian sisters. So I checked into their show expecting to find those bootylicious leggings and nothing more, but was pleasantly surprised. Their looks are edgy, but sophisticated. I love their use of fur, and since I’m not a huge fur person, that’s saying a lot. Every piece was polished to perfection, and I loved the crisp tailoring. Bravo.
