An outfit and an official announcement!

BIG NEWS you guys! I have recently connected with the amazing Christina Lozollo of Christina Dianne Photography here in Cancun, and she’s officially going to be providing photography for a variety of posts here on Haute in Texas! She is amazingly talented, and even with just our first photo shoot in the books I know we’re going to get along great.

For this first outfit we decided to head down to the docks and explore a little bit, with boats and gorgeous water as the perfect backdrop.  We even asked a gentleman if we could sit on his boat for a few pictures, but it proved to be a little too risky with the waves that day.  Although it would have made for some hilarious shots if I just wiped out in the water.

Although this look is a little warm for Cancun most days, I know the majority of my readers are still surviving frigid temperatures, or at least light scarf weather in San Antonio, so I think you’ll be able to relate.  Lately I’ve been throwing a long necklace over a blanket scarf to add a little dimension.  This particular necklace was a find at Apricot Lane, and I love that it has both the Pantone colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, in the gemstone.

The shoes are from Bershka, a popular store here in Mexico that reminds me of Zara a little bit.  That’s the biggest bummer when traveling, to discover new brands and shops you love, but can’t find after you leave.  The lace-up front and chunky heel are on target with most runway trends this spring, and the light suede fabric means they’re boho chic yet comfortable.

I’ve also been wearing these Piko tops from Apricot Lane non-stop, and I need to pick up more colors the next time I’m back in town.  They are the ABSOLUTE comfiest and the stretchy fabric is so flattering.  Nothing like a little draping and flow to cover up a big pasta meal or post-baby pooch.  I’ve featured these BLANKNYC jeans on the blog plenty in the past here, here, and probably more posts I’ve forgotten about, but I haven’t gotten tired of them yet. The baggy fit and distressed style simply work with so many different looks, I can’t help it.

So what do you guys think of Christina’s photography skills?! Pretty amazing, right? If you’re headed to Cancun for a family trip or wedding, I highly recommend scooping her up for your memory-capturing needs.  She also travels back to her hometown of Atlanta and beyond for clients, so she can come to you!  For more information and to check out her portfolio, check out her website here. You can also find her Facebook business page here for the latest updates.  I think you all will appreciate better quality photography on here, and I know Orlando is totally fine with relinquishing his “Instagram husband” duties for a bit. 😉
