I am my mother in many ways. I have her mannerisms, her badonkadonk, and her stick thin hair. For as long as I can remember, my locks have been limp and lifeless. My sister, on the other hand, was blessed with my Dad’s curly locks that hairstylists just LOVED. When we were growing up, we would always be sitting next to each other for a trim and Kelsey’s stylist would be oohing and ahhing over every little ringlet. My stylist, on the other hand, was usually bored to tears with my mousey brown mediocre mane.
I’ve tried a variety of solutions to give my hair a little oomph. I even paid an outrageous amount of money for shampoo and conditioner in college that was supposed to help cancer patients regrow their hair. All it did was cause my scalp to tingle and my conscience to feel a little guilty. Then a few years ago, I started hearing whispers about biotin. It was supposed to make your hair shinier, your skin clearer, and your nails stronger. But I couldn’t keep up with the pills and I never saw any results.
It wasn’t until a few months ago that I was invited to try NeoCell Biotin Bursts. I had just given birth to Issa, so I thought why not? Might as well try to head off the postpartum hair loss and just add them to my prenatal vitamin routine. Holy Toledo, you guys, these little chews pack some punch. They’re so delicious, I actually look forward to taking them in the morning. I keep them in the fridge so I see them every day, and it’s a little fruity treat to get my day going.
But so what if they taste good, the real question is if they work, right? I hear ya, sisters. All I can tell you is my current hairstylist cannot stop telling me how much healthier my hair is. It’s thicker, it’s shinier, and it grows much faster. I’ve even noticed my nails are stronger, when they used to be marred with ridges, just peeling away to nothing. And while I’m still experiencing the occasional breakout with postpartum hormones, overall my skin is on the up and up. I actually ran out of my initial complimentary sample a few weeks ago and immediately noticed my nails return back to their flaky selves. I headed straight to the nearest GNC and picked up another round of these puppies on my own dime because I really believe they’re worth it.
So while I love being an exact replica of my mother most of the time, I would rather improve upon my hair, skin, and nails if it’s as easy and delicious as Biotin Bursts. If you want to try some for yourself, enter the giveaway below! Or print off this coupon and enjoy $1.50 off your own package!
