Today’s post is from fellow San Antonio blogger Christy Hinchey! With a new baby in tow, I am LOVING all of these recommendations! Enjoy!

During the first few months of my daughter’s life, I can’t tell you how many days the clock would strike 11am or noon, and I would still be in my pajamas, let alone have my hair or make-up presentable. Then, of course, generous friends would be bringing by much needed dinners and I would need to get ready in a hurry. Thankfully, I found fabulous products which made me look far more put together than I was.

Here are my favorite products that make you look fabulous in five minutes:

Beauty products

1. Make-up

If I have an abundance of time, I start off with Laura Mercier’s oil free tinted moisturizer – but honestly, I frequently skip this step. ($44 – Nordstrom)

Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche éclat is THE BEST under eye concealer made. Perfect for those tired new mom eyes while still looking natural. ($42 – Nordstrom)

Then, because I am insanely pale, I follow-up with MAC bronzer and Loreal blush. I am actually picky about blushes, and this Loreal one is a good value for the quality, especially for those of us who lack in our own color! Plus, you can pick it up at the grocery store. The MAC bronzer comes in several different shades, so even on the palest of folks it can give you the boost you need to look well-rested and fabulous! It also lasts forever and I have been using the same one everyday for nearly a year. (MAC “Mineralize” Skinfinish, $32 – Nordstrom)

As you may know, I am obsessed with lash extensions, but if you haven’t taken the plunge, this Loreal mascara is a great substitute. It adds fibers to the ends of your lashes and makes your eyes pop.

Then I finish up with Laura Mercier’s lip glace, which adds a hint of color – while still looking super natural. ($25 – Nordstrom)

The good news, almost ALL of these products are available at Nordstrom with free shipping or at your local grocery store – so easy!

2. Hair

Washing your hair takes time. Mine specifically takes around thirty minutes just to blow dry! Who has time for that!?!? I have super fine hair that should be washed daily… but I typically wash it around twice per week and it never looks dirty. How? To start, every night I put a small amount of baby powder in my hands and run it through the roots of my hair. It soaks up any oil overnight.

Then, in the morning, I use either B&b’s pret-a-powder or Pssst to give some volume to my roots. Either works, and a can of Pssst can be found at Walgreens for less than $5. B&b products are a little tougher to come by, but in San Antonio you can find them at Twirl Hair or at Saks Fifth Avenue or you can order online from Sephora. ($27 – Sephora)

These products give me hours of my week back – while still allowing me to be presentable to the public.
