Everyone has words that that they stumble on or have a challenging time articulating. For my sister– the word would be “deacon”.  She’s said “dinkon” since a young age, and we all giggle every time she struggles and huffs over the word. It’s pretty cute. Well, I guess my word would be “oil”, which is a strange coincidence, living in Oil country and having a husband who’s family works in the Oil business. It usually comes out as ol’ as in ol’ fashioned, thus causing a slew of perked eyebrows and confused sneers– “What was that?”– followed by laughs and then the never-failing attempt to get me to say “Oi” and “uhl” in the same pop of the mouth.

Anyway, it’s a source of grief for me, but today’s beauty pick is worth the frustration. I’ve been using Bio Oil on and off for the last few years, specially in the summer as the dry air and blistering sun really takes a toll on my skin. Even after just two weeks of continued use, my skin’s lustre has been fully returned. The product is known to improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks over time (which it really does!) but I just love they way it makes my skin feeeeeeeeeel.I know that the idea of  body oil sounds very heavy, but this pleasant mix of vitamins A & E, Calendula, Rosemary, Lavender, and Chamomile soaks into the skin easily and feels light in its application.

It’s also very affordable, with the large size not costing more than about 20 dollars. So, Texas ladies with dry skin, stretch marks, embarassing scars, or just looking for a luxe moisturizer– give it a try. Just don’t ask me to say it.

XO,
