How is it possible that my third issue of San Antonio Woman is already on news stands?! It’s been a whirlwind of an experience, but I’m excited to share with you the articles and admirable women we featured this go around! Take a peek inside the pages with me today, but be sure to pick up your own copy at your local HEB or Central Market!

This issue marks a new chapter for San Antonio Woman – we’ve added a new section titled SA Woman Connect, and it’s purely focused on the female business leaders in our city who are making moves and looking fabulous while doing it! I’ve been asked to contribute a new feature within SA Woman Connect on business style trends. For this first piece, we decided to zero in on shoes in the workplace: what works, what doesn’t, and what styles I’m loving right now. Not to mention, who doesn’t love to gab about shoes?! I hope you’ll fall in love with the floral pumps, sexy white Tom Ford heels, and the edgy Oxfords I featured.

For Fashion this issue we interviewed a very special guest. I teased this feature a few times on social media, but it was an absolute thrill to interview Axelle Parker, wife of San Antonio Spur Tony Parker and talented personal stylist. She took us on a tour of her closet and personal fashion ideology, which includes her springtime trend predictions! She was the absolute sweetest, and the homemade macarons were the cherry on top of a new friendship. If you’re looking for someone to help you get a fresh start in the wardrobe department, I’d say she’s a slam dunk! See what I did there? 😉 Major thanks as well to the talented April Deleon of Pure Happiness Photography for shooting this piece!

Finally, for Beauty we turned to Fiesta for some inspiration, and I pulled a royal friend in to stand as my model! Christina Martinez is a dynamo entrepreneur, mother, and community activist, and she’s serving as La Reina Linda during San Antonio’s 2017 Fiesta celebration. If you’re not from San Antonio, Fiesta is essentially a month-long party, except every event gives back to a charity in some way. Christina is a shining example of what it means to be a San Antonian, so she was the perfect choice to demonstrate a colorful yet classy eye makeup tutorial. Olivia Villa of Liv Beautified was our terrific makeup artist, and Candace Schaddelee of Rememory Photography captured the moment in photos for us. Take a look to find out how to achieve her gorgeous look for yourself!

As you can see, this issue was a collaborative effort between a plethora of wonderful individuals, and I’m so thankful to everyone who came together to make it happen! I hope you’re loving these sneak peeks as much as I’m enjoying cataloging them, and thanks as always for continuing to support Haute in Texas and my many adventures!

XO,

A
