I knew I was a full-fledged adult the year I asked for a Crockpot for Christmas. It was the burning desire in my heart of hearts: to own a kitchen appliance that could magically prepare a scrumptious pot roast in six hours flat. Now it’s all about the Instant Pot, and I know this because my Facebook feed is filled with equally mature women who dream of killer cleaning strategies and Pinterest-worthy home decor. Remember when a vacuum as a birthday gift would have been a DISASTER? But look at us now, all domesticated. 😉
It’s in this vein of housewife “haute-ness” that I confess I am SO pumped for the AERIN Collection by Williams Sonoma and Williams Sonoma Home. They recently reached out to send me a few samples of the pieces designed by Aerin Lauder herself and inspired by her love of Palm Beach. I am not kidding when I say it took me a solid hour to narrow down my wish list! Everything is just so. dang. beautiful. From the marble cheese slab, to the delicate dishware, every detail is thought out and each item has a weight to it that screams luxury.
I finally decided upon the Woven Silver Wine Chiller, Seashell-Handle Cheese Knives, Gilded Bamboo Gallery Frame, and Gold Ceramic Leaf Catchall. Then I know the marble cheese slab is going to sell out in a hot minute, because it only takes on swipe of your Instagram feed to know it’s the stone du jour. And finally, to get a better understanding of Aerin’s aesthetic, I chose a copy of her design book, Beauty At Home, which will inspire many summer soirees, I’m sure. Everything feels festive, cheerful, but never pretentious. I know I could create a spread with each item without concerning my guests that something is too frail to actually use. And that’s key!
