Here’s the deal guys. I’ve written about fitness a lot before. I’ve been on the wagon, off the wagon, and everywhere in between. I found that I loved doing pilates reformer classes while we were living in Cancun, but I didn’t keep the groove going when we got back to San Antonio. I tried being a member at one of the mega-gyms, but I just wandered around the cardio section and took a class or two. I don’t hate my body, but I know it could use a bit of a reboot.

So when I was scrolling Facebook the other day and happened to see a post about a new fitness program starting at a local gym just down the street from me, it grabbed me attention. Then browsing through the program’s information, it hit me: this is exactly what I need. InBalance San Antonio, located just down the road from me in Leon Springs, was getting ready to start the first round of their “8 to Great” fitness regime. And by fitness, I mean a whole system reboot. Nutrition, unlimited group classes, and step-by-step consultations along the way. I immediately emailed owner Hope to ask if there was space. And as you may have figured out, there was!

So today is Day 3 of my 8 week program, and I’ve been teasing about it here and there on social media. I have to tell you though, I may completely inundate you guys with healthy lifestyle vibes over the next eight weeks because I’m that in love already. Here’s how it’s worked so far:

Day 1: We took measurements, wrote down goals, and did a quick circuit workout.

Day 2: I scheduled myself to go to the 8:15 am TRX class, which I missed because I was running late and got pulled over for speeding. Most expensive TRX class I’ve ever skipped.  😉 BUT it was OK because I jumped on InBalance’s handy iPhone app and booked myself for Hope’s Pilates class at 9 am and totally got my booty kicked. I then headed to HEB with InBalance’s handy grocery list in tow to completely rejuvenate my pantry and refrigerator. As soon as I got home, I literally threw out everything that could be construed as junk food.

Day 3: I’m headed to a Barre Express class at 8:30, and since Issa’s not in school on Wednesdays I was able to book a babysitting slot for her to hang out in the Kid’s Room while I work up a sweat! One of my biggest challenges with going to the gym is finding acceptable child care since my little ones are still so tiny, and I’m so glad InBalance has affordable and excellent care!

So for the next 8 weeks, follow along on all my social media channels with the hashtag #HauteInBalance.  I’ll be tracking my progress, letting you guys see what I’m eating, how I’m feeling, and of course what I’m wearing. 😉 My goal is to simply hit the reset button on my fitness and nutrition. Especially my nutrition because over the summer I have completely let it go astray! I’m not looking to see a giant dip on the scales, I just want to tone and know that I’m putting only the best into my body, helping it look and feel great from the inside out! Wanna join me? Visit InBalance’s website here and sign up for their newsletter to be in the know before they launch their next series of 8 To Great!

XO,

A
