When it comes to Instagram, is there anyone out there who can resist it’s allure? I seriously find it nearly impossible to tear myself away once I start scrolling, but there are a few accounts in my feed that never fail to inspire me. These five gals are by no means hidden gems; there are plenty of other folks who find them fantastic enough to follow as well, but if you’re not yet I highly suggest you get on board. Your closet and your fashion-loving heart will thank you.
1. The Darling Detail
Jessi hails from Austin, but you wouldn’t know it from her Insta. Forget shabby hipster fashion (not that there’s anything wrong with that), she brings it every day with polished, preppy looks that simultaneously manage to look powerful and pretty. If you’re juggling a career and a strong desire to still look chic, this is your go-to chick.
2. Sea of Shoes
Jane was one of the first bloggers I ever started following back in the day, and I actually had the extreme fan-girl pleasure of meeting her back in 2011 at the Vision Women’s Expo in Dallas. I’m happy to report she is lovely and down-to-earth in person, but her Insta will make you feel like you’ve been transported to another world of luxe living. She has the guts to strut down the street in outfits you’ve only ever been brave enough to wear in your dreams, and she pulls it off without a hitch.
3. For the Love of Fancy
Kate’s account is where I go when I’m in the mood to SHOP. Her looks are on trend without being obnoxious, and she’s mastered the art of the bird’s-eye-view outfit shot. Seriously, how do you get your arm to bend that way without getting a cramp? I ordered a pair of distressed jeans from Nordstrom that she recommended and I have to say her review was right on the money. She’s not just hawking outfits to make a quick buck, this is a Houston closet you’ll want to shop again and again.
4. Style by Fluent
Heather is the definition of “#goals” for me. She’s an over-40 fashion blogger, but don’t let that fool you: this girl’s whole look is always on point. If I look this good in 12 years, I’m doing something right. She lives that Dallas socialite life, but still manages to pull off boho chic looks that will have you drooling. And she’s rocking a bod that makes you desperate to know her secrets!
5. The sTORIbook
You guys are probably sick of me raving about my friend Tori by now, but I couldn’t do this post justice if she wasn’t included on the list. Not only is her San Antonio style incredible, you’ll be inspired by her weekly scripture posts, tender motherhood moments, and general loveability. I know that’s not a word, but if you follow her you’ll see what I mean. 😉
