Ever since going blonde a little over a year ago, I’ve really had to pay more attention to my hair’s health. When it was my natural brown with just the occasional trim, it was easy to let it slip down my list of priorities. Being blonde, however, takes some WORK and it certainly does a number on my hair every time I get it colored. That’s why I was so excited when LASIO, a professional hair care company based in New York and featured in salons around the world, offered to help. The pioneers of keratin treatments, I met with the girls at LASIO in their Manhattan salon where they suggested I try their “30 Days to Hair Repair” treatment. So today is Day One, and I can’t wait to see the results in just one month’s time!
The process is simple: I start with the LASIO Hypersilk Replenishing Shampoo, working it into a lather just on my scalp. It smells fantastic and there’s a slight cooling effect which I thoroughly enjoyed. I rinse it well with warm water, and then follow up with the Hypersilk Replenishing Conditioner which I applied mainly to my ends, and only slightly on the roots since my scalp tends to get oily quickly. My ends are the most fried, of course, so I let the moisture really soak in there for 1-3 minutes. I then rinse with cold water, and 1-2 times a week I finish with the Hypersilk Revitalizing Masque. This intense hydrator can also be used as a leave-in conditioner, which I think I may try on the days when I don’t have an extra fifteen minutes to let the masque sit. Once again, I rinse with cold water to lock in all of those nutrients, and I’m good to go! The entire treatment is safe for color-treated hair, chock full of the good stuff my hair needs, and free of all the bad stuff it doesn’t. Here is my hair before starting the 30 days to hair repair:
If you lean in, you can practically hear my hair begging for moisture. It’s pretty dry, and with trips to Cancun in our near future, I can be sure it’s only going to need it more desperately! Now I can tell you I already love how the products made my hair feel the first go around, but the proof will be in the pudding at the end of 30 days!
