It didn’t take long, but the whispers of Spring have finally begun. As you prepare your mind and body for the warmer temperatures, make sure your wardrobe is ready for a lightening as well. These three trends were all over the runways, and I’ve pulled some of my favorite looks that could be on your doorstep before you can say baby chicks and tulips.

1. Off-the-shoulder

Designers have expanded on this look since Instagram stars have made it a virtual staple in every girl’s wardrobe.  Texture, billowly sleeves, and even a bit of Spanish flamenco flair mean you can avoid looking basic and instead be breathtaking.

2. Lingerie looks

From the slip to the pajama ensemble, this instantly chic trend might be a direct result of our desire to look as though, “We woke up like this.”  Call it romantic, call it ’90s, but whatever you do make sure you get on board with a look that lets you wear sleepwear in broad daylight.

3. Bold lines

They’re not nautical, they’re not military, they’re just stripes for the sake of stripes.  Across the runways we saw an array of horizontal and vertical options on dresses, pants, and flowing blouses.  So don’t worry about the old adage that stripes make you look wider; you’ll be guaranteed to find a thickness and a pattern that flatters you on the shelves this Spring.
